Garritt Hampton is a grateful husband and once-reluctant homeschool dad. He’s the director of Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution, and producer of the Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast and the Homeschool Insights Podcast, both hosted by his wife, Yvette. Garritt is a movie industry veteran with credits on some of the biggest movies of the last decade, including Interstellar, Furious 7, TRON: Legacy, GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and many more. Following several years of working as a motion control technician in Hollywood, Garritt made an abrupt shift and taught film at a Los Angeles area private school, while producing short documentary content for his church. His time teaching high school and middle school students deepened his passion for the creative process and his love for education, but it also opened his eyes to how broken the traditional education system was. This led to his decision to take his family on the road to produce Schoolhouse Rocked, the feature-length documentary on the homeschool revolution.
Since the release of the film, Schoolhouse Rocked has grown into a multi-faceted ministry to homeschool families, with resources ranging from the Homeschool Survival Kit, a free 70+ page eBook; to the Homegrown Generation Family Expo, a live, interactive, online homeschool conference; to over 800 podcast episodes and videos to help parents help you disciple the hearts of their children for the glory of God!
