Guilt! We all deal with it. Mom, wife, teacher, daughter, sister, friend. We feel guilty because we simply can’t meet all the needs of everyone and everything around us. We’re not giving our kids the education they deserve. We’re not keeping up with the house. We can’t live up to the demands of motherhood. Our husbands need us. Our family needs us. It’s never ending and we are left feeling like a failure. Well, it’s time to let go of that guilt. Be encouraged by Durenda Wilson, veteran homeschool mom of 8, as she encourages us with truth, scripture, and stories of how the Lord has worked through her obedience to home educate and disciple the hearts of her children. This is a live bonus session you will not want to miss!

Durenda has been homeschooling since 1996 and has graduated 7 of her 8 children so far. She has been married to Darryl for 33 years and they have 9 grandkids.

She is convinced that home education is an incredible blessing, but only if we don’t let it hold us hostage to unnecessary expectations and notions of what it “should” look like. The heart of her message encourages parents to create a simple, unhurried lifestyle while growing a strong, cohesive family. It’s in this nurturing environment where learning most naturally happens and where lifelong learners are grown.

Durenda has written The Unhurried Homeschooler (a simple, mercifully short book on homeschooling) and Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart.  She is the host of the Durenda Wilson Podcast and is the owner, writer, and host of her blog and podcast, at DurendaWilson.com. She also enjoys speaking at events where she can encourage homeschool parents to lay aside unnecessary expectations and truly enjoy this homeschooling journey!
